Edward Hood steps down as Brett Rountree takes charge

A WORD FROM THE OUTGOING PRESIDENT

Edward W. Hood

Edward W. Hood

I just wanted to take a second to say thank you to the men and women of chapter 355 for giving me the opportunity to rebuild our chapter. It’s been a great 2 years and we have accomplished a lot. I have nominated our chapter for 2 state awards including Chapter of the Year and the Exceptional Service Award for our work during Hurricane Michael. I have also nominated Congressman Dr. Neal Dunn for 2019 Legislator of the Year.

In partnership with the Eglin Air Force Association, we supported Colonel Laidlaw’s nomination for the Jerry Waterman Award. The Jerry Waterman Award is for an active duty Air Force member who has made the most significant contribution to the Air Force during the past year. All state awards are presented during the Florida AFA state convention in July.
